What we collect through this website, and what we do with it.
What we collect
We collect only what you submit through the enquiry and application forms: your name, email address, phone number, business name, the service you are interested in and the message you write. The server also records the date, time and originating IP address of a submission, which we use to prevent abuse of the form.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry or application. We do not sell, rent or share your details with any third party for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list without your asking.
Calculators and tools
Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The figures you enter are never transmitted to our server and are not stored anywhere once you close the page.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages visitors find useful. It records pages viewed, approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, device type and how you arrived at the site. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not use it for advertising or share anything with advertising networks.
Google Analytics sets its own cookies for this purpose. You can prevent it entirely with Google's browser opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser — the site works exactly the same either way. Google's handling of this data is governed by its own privacy policy.
One cookie is set: a counting cookie named ks_v, which records only that this browser has already been counted in the visitor figure shown in the footer. It holds no identifier, no profile and nothing that can be traced back to you, and it is never read for any other purpose. Blocking or clearing it has no effect on how the site works — the only consequence is that your next visit is counted again.
Visitor numbers are held in aggregate: a daily count of visitors and pages viewed. No individual browsing history is recorded.
Client confidentiality
Information you share with us in the course of a professional engagement is governed by the confidentiality obligations imposed on Chartered Accountants under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 and the ICAI Code of Ethics — a stricter standard than this policy.
Retention and access
Enquiry records are retained only as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of correspondence. Write to us at kasatv@gmail.com to ask what we hold about you, or to have an enquiry record deleted.
